About Katey Jayne

Do you know what to do in case of zombie apocalypse? How about when surrounded by a mad horde of Doctor Who fangirls? What if the Mothman invades your town? What if aliens land and start shooting up the place? Lucky for you that you have met KT Jayne. She knows exactly what to do if any of these things happen. She should, she’s spent her entire life obsessing about all these “what ifs” and more. Lucky for you, too, she has Asperger’s and with her out of the box thinking and whiz kid know how, she might just save your skin. Or your soul. Grab your shovel of death and prepare to face whatever form the apocalypse will take. Or just stand behind her. She’ll figure it out. No matter how the apocalypse manifests, KT Jayne does not die at the end.

I am an author with Aspergers.  I try to help people to see how the world looks through my eyes.  I hope my little stories help you to understand how things feel in my little autistic world. I hope that it helps you to understand people who are different and how to live/work/play with them better.

I am the author of two published short stories. Both stories are in anthologies put out by Post Mortem Press http://www.postmortem-press.com/.

The first story is “Push Button, Get Bacon” in the Dead Souls anthology http://www.postmortem-press.com/our-books.php or you can buy it on Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Dead-Souls-Kenneth-W-Cain/dp/0615525040/ref=tmm_pap_title_0 it is also available on Kindle. Be sure to read the reviews! One specifically calls out on yours truly.

The second story is “Andrew and the Better Mouse Trap” in the Fear of the Abyss anthology http://www.postmortem-press.com/our-books.php. You can also buy it Amazon.com http://www.amazon.com/Fear-Abyss-Post-Mortem-Press/dp/0615732518/ref=tmm_pap_title_0 it is also available on Kindle.

If you happened to pick up the April “Rue Morgue” magazine, there is a nice write up for Fear of the Abyss which also specifically calls out on yours truly. I am the third name mentioned in the article and after two of the bigger named authors! So check it out!

I just discovered this site. Very interesting. I’m trying to learn about Asperger’s. I have to admit I had never heard of it until I read about it on your Facebook. Trying my best to understand it. I did notice I have some of the traits–I think–LOL–or perhaps I am just wierd. That is what most think I am anyway. I can be alone in a room full of people and I like it that way. I have no friends to speak of–again I like it that way. Rarely speak to anyone but over the years have become quite adept at acting like I care or am interested when confronted with social situations. Ocasionally I do interact with people and do enjoy it.
To me that is normal–now zombies-that is a whole different thing. On one level they are frightening and on another cool as hell.

    Take care

Congrats on making it into the Fear Project! I’m also a competitor and believe it or not I also have a mild autism spectrum disorder. I wish you luck in the competition!
